Otto stared up at the Hawthorne Academy for Gifted Students.
     "... Holy Hufflepuff, it's big."
     Finn laughed in her head and nodded enthusiastically. So cooool!
     Otto smiled faintly. This was a new chapter of her life, a new adventure. She was excited. But the grandeur of the building reminded her of the apartment where she had grown up, which had looked extremely different from the Academy, but had still been an impressive-looking place where you'd be expecting rich people or something. It was so strange to think that she would be living here.
     She turned and looked behind her, but her mother's old car had already rolled out of view. A weird sense of apprehension hit her, and she realized that there was another reason why she felt so nervous about this.
     Her whole life, she had had her mother by her side. Sure, her mom was moving to Hawthorne Valley as well so she and Otto could see each other from time to time, but Otto would be living in the Academy, away from her. Otto had always considered herself independent, but the truth was, she was only as strong as she was because of her mother. And now, she really was walking on her own.
     She turned back to the large doorway. Don't be a wimp, she told herself, which Finn echoed. She had to be like her mom - truly strong, completely independent. She could totally do this.
     Set with determination, she knocked and waited for the doors to open.

Al didn't like the idea of showing up in a limo. Of course his parents thought he should make an impression on the people at this academy place. Of course his parents had sent him with a couple bodyguards, though hopefully they'd go away soon after they arrived.
They seemed to be arriving, and Al grabbed his skateboard, not wanting one of the bodyguards to carry his stuff. He knew how his parents felt about him skating, most likely the bodyguards would just take his board when they left.
One of the bodyguards opened the door for him, despite his protests that he didn't need the royal treatment. Al hopped on his skateboard, trying to stay ahead of the bodyguards, he wanted to get away from them as soon as possible, they weren't very fun. He saw a girl at the front door and stopped when he was next to her.
"Hi"

A few seconds after Otto had begun knocking...
"UGHHHHHHH." Seriously, was no one here? Otto kept knocking impatiently, irritation growing.
Maybe they can't hear you knocking, Finn said helpfully.
"Well, they don't have a doorbe- oh, there it is." Otto began pressing the buzzer repeatedly, until suddenly someone came up beside her and greeted her.
"Hey, ki-" she said as she turned to face the boy, stopping short when she saw his hair. It was purple. She broke into a wide grin. "Dude. Your hair is epic."
She glanced aside, and did a double take.
"I-is that your limo?" she asked, incredulous.
There were men in suits standing around the limo, watching them. So not creepy.

Al smiled widely when the girl pointed out his hair, it was one of the things he'd been able to do without his parents being able to stop him. Besides he'd rather be seen as the skater kid than some rich kids children.
"yup, dyed it myself."
When the girl asked about the limo, Al decided to take a moment to send a brief glare at the bodyguards, and the limo behind them.
Seriously how was he supposed to fit in with them hanging around.
It wasn't like anyone would know him here or who his family was.
"It's my parents limo, I didn't want it." he answered. The suits definitely seemed ready to subdue the girl near their charge at the first sign of aggression.
Adults were so stupid sometimes.

(Wow I've been feeling homesick about this place)

Amber's eyes were fixated on the lump under the suited man's jacket. Actually, the suited men's jackets, because there certainly seemed to be more than one. Whoa, she thought, someone's rich around here. Who the heck would-- 
Then the purple hair caught her eye, and she grinned. Rich and rebellious, and still in elementary school, she supposed. She liked that kid already. Striding towards the boy, she cocked her head to one side. It was surprising when she walked up to the guard instead. "Can I see your gun?" she grinned, her eyes dancing playfully. "It's quite a big one under your jacket there."

Otto whistled. This kid's parents were loaded? She gave him a weird look. "You don't want the limo? Man, can I have it?" she asked, laughing. "Minus the, uh, men in black over there. I can just imagine the dark expressions they're throwing at me from under those shades." She made a face.
     She and Finn suddenly got an idea, and she brightened. "Oh, have you ever pulled up to like a red carpet event and made like you were a big celebrity in your limo, and then just walked out and confused everyone? Oooh, we could do that and be wearing sweatpants and ratty t-shirts next to everyone else's fancy outfits..." She grinned, staring off at a random space above the kid's head as she imagined all the tricks she could pull with a limo. And she'd have a sweet ride to prom too, without having to rent one. The suited guys could just escort her everywhere like she was royalty or something. Hm. Maybe they weren't completely creepy and useless after all.
     She glanced back at them again, and noticed some blond talking to one of them. She tilted her head, wondering if the random was familiar with the suited guys or something.

Christopher had been hoping someone else would answer the door, but when it was apparent that no one else was, and that the person outside would continue to knock and ring the buzzer, he walked out to answer the door. 
He opened it up to see two kids and Amber. There was also a limo with two burly men. 
"Can I help you?" He asked politely, not really knowing what else to say.

Al was unsure of his girl, though she did seem like somebody who would be fun to hang out with, despite being an older kid.
"I've done stuff like that before, but my parents didn't really like it." Despite what he said, Al had to give a small smile to that sentiment.
His parents didn't seem to like alot of things that were fun, including the fact he had dyed his hair.
Al's main bodyguard. Steven McBride, ignored the other girl's request obviously used to stupid questions from kids. instead he addressed the boy who answered the door.
"Son, I need to speak to whoever is in charge of this place, my employer wants to ensure that this place is safe for our charge."
(have fun dealing with the highly professional body guards Indy. maybe send Cain out xP)

Yawning as she walked down the stairs, Ikarus rubbed her eyes, feeling as if she had slept for months. As she walked down, she saw two of the other kids talking to some one at the door. As she approached them, her wings stretching behind her, she looked at the man and sighed."Is there a problem sir?"She asks her hair shifting over her shoulders.
